The town of Provadia (population: 15 000; 30 m. above sea-level) is situated on the banks of Provadia River in the south end of the gorge of the same name. It is 435 km. northeast of Sofia, 55 km. southeast of Shoumen, 47 km. west of Varna, and 17 km. southwest of Devnya. The Bulgarian saltern.
The town is a successor of the Byzantine fortress Provaton (Provat) of 5th century, which in Greek means “sheep”. The Bulgarian medieval fortification town on the same place was called Ovech. The remains of these fortresses can be found right above the town in the region of Tashhisar. In different documents the town appeared with the names of Bourfanto and Ovechgrad.

Take a rest from your work and come to relax in the Bulgarian countryside! This hilly green landscape guarantees your privacy, pleasant experience and fresh air. The village is a hunting area and there are a few grocery shops and pubs. The village is located 55 km. away from Varna and only 6 km away there is a small well-developed town. This solid house is situated 600 meters away from the centre of the village. The total living area is about 80 sq. m. It comprises a corridor, 2 bedrooms, a kitchen with dining area and a basement. At present the toilet is external, but it easily can be fitted inside. There are also some outbuildings in the yard, which is 2000 sq. m.
