The chunky caravanserai wall dates from the C16 like the town itself, whose Turkish founders also constructed the hump-backed Garbav Bridge with its typically flowery dedication:

Harmanli is a very well-developed business centre too favoured by its strategic location on the main route to Turkey and the Near and Middle East.
