Luxurious Indonesian apartment complexes will be built in inhabitant islands of Indonesia which will turned into the ''Caribbean of the East''.
The Government of Indonesia has entered into an agreement with PT. Hanno Bali opening the way for the development of 11 stunning white coral islands near Singapore.
Dubbed the ''Caribbean of the East'' the small islands surrounding the resort Island of Bintan will be developed as private island getaways for the rich and famous.
Guests will include film stars, celebrities, and generally wealthy individuals who want to get away from it all, by themselves or with friends and family (romance, weddings, honeymoons, quality family time and high level meetings, corporate getaways).
PT. Hanno Bali is courting new resort brands created by fashion boutique giants, likes of Armani, Versace, Ferragamo and Bulgari, to further brand the area as a premier luxury destination.
Several islands will be constructed in a ''Maldives style'' where natural bungalows will be built out on the shallow reefs surrounding the islands, connected to the main island by board walks. The company also plans to develop islands with’’James Bond'' flair, complete with high tech gadgetry and inclusive of such toys as one man helicopter, 2 man submarines and underwater jet bikes and private luxury yachts for charter.
Islands will be complete with amenities including high speed internet, satellite TV and cellular telephones, should guests choose to use them. Guests may also choose to have a staff on hand or call on them from an adjoining island only when needed.
Strategically located, the Bintan-Islands are in Indonesian waters, and can be reached in less than 30 minutes by helicopter or luxury yacht from Singapore. Each island is unique, covered with palms and lush tropical vegetation and surrounded by coral reefs and white sand beaches.
The surrounding areas were part of the ancient trading route and rich with history. The coral reefs provide great fishing and fantastic diving. The Bintan-Islands range in size from 1 hectare to 60 hectares. Visitors can choose the complete privacy of a small island or share a larger island with others.
Guests can also choose to visit a central island for dining and interacting with other guests at the club house.
According to Hanno Soth, Chairman of PT. Hanno Bali, ''the company started looking at private islands as the ultimate vacation concept. We concluded that not only were private tropical islands everyone's fantasy vacation, but the only way to really get away from it all.''
''We looked everywhere for the perfect islands. Our criterion was to find uninhabited, naturally beautiful islands, which were easy to get to. We heard about the Bintan International resort area, which has long been a favorite play ground for Singaporeans situated 45 minutes by ferry from Singapore. Our company chartered a helicopter to survey the area and found paradise beyond the Bintan resort area. The most perfect tropical islands. We were surprised, but elated to find them uninhabited. The coral reef is a natural barrier that has kept these islands pristine and untouched.
Hanno Soth says, ''we know our company is on the right track investing in private island developments. People are looking for the ultimate escape to find sanctuary and to recharge, no matter the price. If I think of my childhood, the things that I remember with great fondness are books like Treasure Island, television shows like 'Gilligan's Island' and 'Fantasy Island'."
