Simeonovgrad municipality is situated in the Northeast part of Haskovo Region in the Gornothraciyska Lowland. The climate is very pleasant- with soft winter and hot summer. The most ancient cultural traces in Simeonovgrad are in the Chavdarova Cheshma Locality and the Zlati Dol Residential District. Traces of a village from the Bronze Age have been discovered. In Simeonovgrad were found also Thracian remains of 4th c. B.C. There are thermal springs and a century-old common oak tree, which has been declared a protected species.
