Over 100 000 000 Euros will be invested in the building of an Industrial zone near Aytos. After a conference of the Municipal committee, the councilors approved the proposal of the Mayor Evgeni Vrabchev a joint-stock Company to be created, with the participation of Aytos Municipality and “Quintessence Capital” JSC., which will set up the zone. The councilors approved the most considerable investment offer after long debates, and with the insistence to know more details for the future initiative which is revolutionary for Aytos. It became clear that the capital will be invested in the construction of a integrated zone with area of 795 000 sq.m. in which high-technology Companies will run their activity. This industrial zone will surely attract Bulgarian and foreign investors and it will offer conditions for immediate starting of small and average ecologically clean manufacture. The zone will be managed by newly set up Joint-Stock Company named “Industrial Zone Aytos”, in which the Municipality of Aytos will participate with 49% of the capital. The Company will be run by the Common committee of the shareholders and by a Counsel of the Directors which comprises of 5 members. The executive director will be chosen with the consent of the two shareholders.
The representative of “Quintessence Capital” JSC announced that the company would not be so daring in its proposal if there was not such a serious interest of foreign Companies. It became clear that with the help of “Quintessence Capital” JSC one of the biggest business formations in Europe – the Italian Co-operative Union, was set up in the capital city of Sofia. It has founded 8000 Companies. 130 of them have been selected for Bulgaria, and they have very serious intentions and experience in this business. The Italian practice has been used in the preliminary plans for the zone in Aytos. It includes small and medium Companies, situated on an area of 5-10 000 sq.m. Manufacture in the field of tailoring and textile industry will be founded, as well as in the fields of woodworking, food, wine and tobacco industry, transport, machine building and electrical appliances, training of personnel, trade and services. The expected number of the Companies in the zone will be about 50, which will provide employment of about 3000 people, said Mr. Kumanov. Donor funds and government programs will invest in the roads and the infrastructure. The initial investments will be directed to the electrical supply, water supply, asphalt roads and possibly gasification.
The accomplishment of the idea will contribute to the development of successful public-private partnerships, concerning the improvement of the business on the territory of Aytos Municipality. According to the specialists, the decision for the construction of the Industrial zone is the most important decision accepted by the local government since the beginning of the changes in Bulgaria till now. One part of the councilors defined it as the first steps for the creation of a solid European economical and social standard on the territory of the Municipality.
More and more Italian, English, Taiwan and German Companies express their interest in the new Industrial zone, declared Krasimir Kumanov in front of the local media after the conference of the Minicipal Committee.
