The biggest part of the municipal road network in Botevgrad will be renovated. The municipality will allocate funds from its own income amounting to 1.2 million leva. The money is 4 times more than the foreseen in the investment plan. The mayor and the town council decided to make a whole renovation of the roads in the region because of the rains, which poured last year and affected the condition of the roads.  The rehabilitation and the renovation of the road network will probably pass under the motto “Modern town with new streets”.
Botevgrad is located 60 km from the capital of Bulgaria, Sofia. The airport is located 50 km from the town.. The location of the town is extremely good. It is situated near Hemus highway, which leads right to the capital of Bulgaria-Sofia. There is a gas-main, good infrastructure and highly skilled work hand. Traditions in education and culture makes it a very nice place to live. There are also many attractive places for tourism.
Botevgrad is strategically located at a crossroad with connections with Eastern and Northern Bulgaria. The municipality covers parts of the Western Stara Planina mountain - Razhana, Mourgash, Billo and Golyama Planina and some parts of the Northern Balkan. The region of Botevgrad municipality is quite rich in natural resources. The relief is remarkable for its outstanding variety. There are a valley, and part of a mountain, and Vitinya Pass connecting South Bulgaria with North Bulgaria on the territory of the municipality.
There are very good opportunities for real estates investments and not only. In the last several years, the municipality began the process of stimulating economic relations and restoring industry. This process created conditions for the entrance of foreign investment. Now, many large and various types of firms with foreign participation do business in the municipality.
