The on-going development of the Pazardjik Municipality and the fulfillment of the various managerial, organizational and administrative functions of the council and administration will be realized by multi-cultural aspects in character and content public and social economic conditions. There are growing dynamics of the processes, connected with Bulgaria joining the EU in the future. This proposes the upgrading of economic, humanitarian and administrative activities to the new higher criteria on one hand, and on the other – the maximum and complete use of the favorable investment situation for development and quick realization of projects with high infra-structural, economic and social importance. Further extensive development of financial decentralization and managerial independence of municipalities, which increases the necessity of thorough consideration of a policy for engaging all the material and financial resources of the municipality for achieving a self-reproductive social and economic effect, as well as quality improvement of public services. Тhe GDP growth, the development structure defining branches of the economy, the state and needs of the engineering infra-structure, the material base for social and cultural activities suggest immediate activities for achieving steady development of the municipality, which should have the following goals: - Ensuring of the most favorable conditions for encouraging and developing of entrepreneurial enterprises. - Efficient use and increase of materials and financial resources of the municipality; optimal and reasonable application of the self-governing devices of the municipality; expansion of the mutual initiatives with other economic and social units and participation in projects with multiplying efficiency; - Creation and participation in management associations and increase of the municipal property and improvement of the already existent management associations; - Performance of policy of sociability to Europe and the world and development of trans-border cooperation; - Actively seeking public participation in the formation and performing of the social-economic policy of the municipality; - The city and the municipality should be turned into a clean, pleasant and cozy place to live and ready to join the EU; The strategic goal in the development of agriculture in the Pazardjik municipality region is, by using the existing natural and weather (climatic) conditions, to intensify the organizational and inter-branch restructuring of the production. Improvement of sale conditions and stimulation of intensive development of ecologically pure farming and stockbreeding, in regards with rising competitiveness of local producers and the steady development of the municipality.
