Plovdiv is the second largest city in Bulgaria, situated on the Maritsa River. There is also a big Russian investor, who is interested in Plovdiv region. He invests in a wine factory, but he is also interested in sport and balneology. The region has a great potential in developing these spheres. There are numerous mineral springs with proved quality and healing property.
The municipality of Plovdiv aims at improving the infrastructure and making the living standards better. It has a number of projects which concern the look of the city and the convenience of its citizens.
A logistic center is going to be built. The investment is to the amount of 150 million euro. It will offer a number of services for the needs of the region. A big trade center is also one of the projects. It is going to be built near the highway as soon as the concession of the Trakia highway ends. It will have its own railway station, Disneyland and nine cinemas.
The gas supply of Plovdiv is another very important project. More than 300 km will be the length of the gas-main. The gasification of Plovdiv will be done by the start of the heating season. The gasification of the city will reduce the expenses of the households for heating, but they will still have the right to decide if they want to lay gas-main to their homes.
The municipality is putting efforts to modernize the city and make it competitive and attractive. Plovdiv is a good place to live. Beautiful nature, numerous landmarks, friendly people and mostly reasonable prices for properties make the city attractive place to foreign investors.
