Yablanitza municipality is situated in the Northern part of the Pre-Balkan. The distance to Sofia is 85 km. The municipal centre – the town of Yablanitza – is situated in immediate proximity to the Hemus Highway. The trade network is well developed in the town of Yablanitza as well as in the settlements on the territory of the municipality.The trade on the territory of Yablanitza municipality is concentrated mainly in food stores and places of public resort. The town is famous for its halva and Turskish delight. It’s the most popular and demanded Turkish delight in Bulgaria. The Saeva Dupka Cave (14 km north of Yablanitsa) is electrified and has numerous very interesting formations in several naturally shaped halls. The entrance fee is just a symbolic one. There is a good asphalt road up to the cave. It is one of the most visited places in Bulgaria. The Glozhenski Monastery St. Georgi the Victor is approximately 10 km south-west of Yablanitsa. There is no such other monastery in Bulgaria, nestled on the top of a rocky edge, which looks like a Medieval Castle. It was erected in 13th century by the Kiev Prince Glozh, after his escape from South Russia. There is also a farm named „Blue Ostrich”. There are grown special rare animal species as ostriches and others.The farm gives the opportunity to see how these animals live. There is also a small museum-of-the-ostrich. These are only few of the landmarks in the region.There are many other interesting places that are very popular among tourists and attract the attention of foreigners. The municipality is appropriate for development of the tourism and attracts many real estate investors. The prices for real estates are still cheap, but are expected to rise with Bulgaria’s accession to EU. The investments in that region are very advantageous and with good return rate.
