“The national archaeological reserve Yailata already welcomes organised groups of tourists”, reported the director of the town historic museum in Kavarna, Asen Salkin. The opening of the reserve was preceded with substantial preparation of the monuments of culture. There are tourist paths and explanatory plates near the historic places. A real cave town is holed in the caves with 101 documented cave habitations with human presence, which dates to 5000 years BC.
Building of a new road and a parking lot starts. There are also going to be special grounds, where the tourists will be able to enjoy the view.
A layout plan for the reserve is also expected to be made. It should be approved by the end of September. This plan will help to apply for building an appropriate infrastructure, preserve and restore the historic projects in the reserve.
 The museum and “Ekomission” Association organised a big presentation of the archaeological reserve on 7th June. There were guests from different parts of Bulgaria. There is an idea to make the Yailata Reserve a part of the tourist routes on Bulgarian seaside.
The aim of the project is forming and presenting an integrated tourist product of the municipality of Kavarna by improving and optimising the infrastructure and marketing the services that are offered by tourism business in the region. It has to attract Bulgarian and foreign tourists by developing the Yailata Reserve and uniting the reserve with the table-land in “Rusalka”, the clam plantation “Dalboka”, Kaliakra Cape, Chirakman Cape and its archaeological landmarks.
