The municipality of Dobrich has prepared several projects for the improvement of the infrastructure, the human resources and the tourism in the area. The aim of the projects is to create conditions for the improvement of the business field and increase of the competitiveness of the local business through support of investments in the municipal business infrastructure.
The project activities include the modernization of the southern industrial zone in the town, which has to be finished until January 2007. The term for the fulfillment of the activities is 14 months. The whole water supply system will be renewed, canalization will be renovated, the roads will be asphalted, pavements will be laid, street lights on both sides of the road. One of the reasons why this particular are was chosen is the increased density of economically active companies in the business zone.
The project is supported by the leading companies which are suppliers of technical services for the local business. They are will clearly expressed interest in investing in the modernization of the technical infrastructure which they maintain.
Apart from that there are novelties in the agriculture as well. Dobrich is the place where the “Dobrich farm chamber” has been formed. It is the only organization with such activity in the country. Its members are the family farmers. Its executive secretary is Mr. Dimitar Nikolov.
The initiators of the foundation of the farm chamber in Dobrich are a group of small and average agricultural owners and specialists, united by the idea to support the development of the contemporary farm agriculture in the area on its way of fast and qualitative change.
The main purposes of the chamber are:
- to unite, support, encourage, represent and defend the interests of the farmers in the conditions of the market economy for the achievement of the criteria of the euro-integration.
- To execute a mediator activity between the immediate farm manufacturers and the government, directed to the government politics in agriculture and the economical growth of Dobrich municipality.
- To support the development of the rural areas by varying of the agricultural activities and gaining more investments in the priority manufactures of the created farm organizations.
