A British Company will invest over 20 million Euros in the construction of a resort village near the town of Stara Zagora. The project will be realized with the mediation of the Agency for regional economic development in Stara Zagora. It was presented on 26 June in the Stara Zagora Municipality.
The investment will be used for the construction of a resort village with medical and trade centres, swimming pools, a golf course, as well as for partnership projects for restoration of culture-historic monuments in the region and their transformation into attractive tourist objects.
The Company wants to present the project in front of the society and to build strong partner relationships with the local authorities, the cultural institutions and business. This is why the Company invited representatives of the society and media to an organized presentation.
Except for this project, Stara Zagora has a lot more to offer to its visitors. The central part of the town is announced for an archeological reserve. The Bereketska mound is the biggest prehistoric mound in Bulgaria. There are two surveyed and preserved Neolithic homes (VI century B.C.) in Stara Zagora, which are the best preserved and richest in artifacts from this epoch in Europe.
The antique forum Augusta Trayana is one of the most important monuments in the homonymous Roman town. Antique floor mosaic from the 4th century is situated in the living-room of a rich house in the centre of Augusta Trayana. There are many other monuments and sights of historic value which will be interesting to tourists.
