The Municipalities of Troyan, Teteven and Priltsi, together with the private organization “Frontier”, are working on a project for an overall tourist product, which includes the most attractive and unknown by now places from the three parts of the Balkan Range. This was announced by the Mayor of Troyan.
The project will include non-developed by now places, such as the villages Divchovoto, Cherni Vit, reserves, etc. Since February, the Municipality of Teteven and “Frontier” are working together on a project for the construction of a ski-base in the villages Ribaritsa and Divchovoto.
The planned investment is 150 million Euros, which will come from private capitals and government institutions. It is expected that the base will start work till the end of 2007-2008.
Daily, the three ski tracks will be visited by 20 000 skiers.
Except for this project, the Municipality is preparing two more for the development of ski tourism. There is partnership with “Super Borovets” for the construction of a vacation complex on the territory of 33 000 sq.m. and with “Aprikon 1” Ltd, for the construction of a complex at the foot of Bogoya peak.
