The realization of four infrastructure projects will contribute to the economic revival of the region and the investment attraction. It will improve the quality of life and increase the state and municipal revenue.It will increase the interest in buying properties in this Bulgarian region.
The first project is an infrastructural and its essence is the construction of a gas–main network. The gasification of the region concerns basically the territories of the three  municipalities  – Dryanovo, Gabrovo, Tryavna.
Another priority of the municipality in Gabrovo is the transport project for the road I-5 /Е85/ as part of the Transeuropean transport corridor Russe – V. Tarnovo – Gabrovo – St. Zagora – Kardzali – Makaza, especially in its part road tunnel Shipka and the introducing of the toll system for the tunnel crossing.
      This is a project of national importance. The project for the tunnel crossing of the Balkan Range mountain includes the building of direct permanent way and road tunnel Shipka.
The project realization will fulfil efficiently the function of the transport corridor to be multimodal and will contribute to the development of an enduring and effective transport network, meeting the social, economic and ecological needs of citizens.
The other two important projects are the building of Byala Dam and Neykovtzy Dam.
The project Byala Dam is concerned with the finalization of the dam construction, which will resolve the problem with drinking-water supply for more than 40 settlements. The capacity of the dam is 18 mil.m3.
There are two sub-sites – a dam and a purifying station Drinking water – Tryavna for the second project – Neykovtzy Dam. The total cost of the project is 25 million levs.
There are two more projects that have the aim to attract tourist and investors to the region.
The essence of the project Tourist Complex Uzana is developing and improving the tourist site Uzana as a resort for recreation and sports in all seasons, for national and international tourism.
The Hi-Tech Park Gabrovo has the aim to attract and support initiatives for technically–oriented companies, which will become a growth factor in Gabrovo. The park will make use of the material base and the scientific potential of Technical University – Gabrovo. The project envisages a business plan for the first five years and an initiation of credit programs with a total cost of 30 940 000 levs. The realization period is 5 years.
The municipality tries to develop Gabrovo and its region so that it will be attractive to tourists from different countries.The municipality makes every endeavour to improve the town.
