The project offers developing of a combination of instruments which will allow professional exploitation and management of the rich resources in the region for tourist purposes. Improvement of the existent tourist infrastructure, its addition and placing of an indication and information labeling are provided. New tourist products will be created based on the authenticity and iniquity of the natural and cultural inheritance of Strandzha mountain. A visitor’s centre will be built up, which will undertake the function of a structure for an integrated management of the destination completely. Municipality of Malko Tarnovo town is situated in southeastern Bulgaria and it is the third largest city in Bourgas region. The municipality is crossed by an international road which is the shortest connection to Europe countries and those from the Near East. The municipality center of Malko Tarnovo town is at about 76 km away from the region center of Bourgas town – the fourth largest town in Bulgaria important and perspective transport center. Municipality becomes an attractive tourist center in Bulgaria. The spirit of the ancient past is carried over the time. The municipality brings together the millennium history of Europe from the Thracians till Christianity. The municipality of Malko Tarnovo is of great interest to many Bulgarian and foreign people, because of its cultural heritage. The preliminary researches define the biggest part of the cultural monuments as monuments of national and international importance. A specific accent in its culture is the holiday- religious system, which is known for the free co-existence of Christianity and old pagan traditions. You can still see fire-dancing in this region, which dates back to Dionysus’ fire-dancing.Again only here you can see mummers without masks. The numerous archaeological monuments of Thracian and Roman times show that there was an intensive agricultural and cultural life even in antiquity. Very impressive is the tomb in “Mishkova niva”, which is 13 km far from Malko Tarnovo.It dates back to V-ІІІ century BC when was the zenith of the Thracian culture. Another famous tomb that is said to be Thracian is situated in “Propada” 5 km far from the town. There are 60 chapels on the territory of the municipality, which is known not only for its natural facts but also for its cultural and historical heritage. These facts make the region really authentic and interesting. That’s why a lot of investors prefer to invest there.
