The traditional means of living of the town of Byala has always been the vine-growing. This is why the interest of foreign investors is concentrated there lately. During the last few days two Italian Companies were given the opportunity to buy terrains in the surroundings of the town. One of the Companies declared its intention to invest in 2 000 000 sq.m. of land, which will be planted with white grapes, mainly of the sorts “Dimyat”, and “Rkatsiteli”. The other Company has chosen a proper terrain of about 500 000 sq.m., on which it intends to grow new red sorts of grapes. Exceprt for that in the next few years high-quality wines will be manufactured. For this purpose there will be new wine-bars for tasting wine which will attract new tourists to the Black Sea town and will strengthen the traditional wine tourism in the region. The higher interest towards the vine massifs of the town attracted a Russian Company last year, which bought about 250 000 sq.m. of plots planted with trellis-vine, which includes old and new planted vines. According to the Mayor of the town Ilian Tsonev, the conditions for growing of selected sorts of grapes and manufacturing of wines is one of the advantages of the region. With the purpose of the development of tourism there is already expressed interest in the construction of golf courses. This is why a Turkish and an Israel companies have viewed a several regions around the town. They chose places, which according to them meet all requirements for the construction of the sport objects. One of them is situated above the camping site “Luna” and the other one is situated near the area Karadere. If in the next few months their construction begins, there is possibility for a high-quality tourist complex to be developed near it. It will attract visitors from all over the world. Another piece of new is that the private investors started the construction of two four-star hotels in the town. One of them will be called “Luna Bay” and will have a capacity of 1100 beds. The other one will rise in close proximity to the water slide on the beach line and will host 400 solvent people.
