Marrakech-Tensift-El Haouz  is one of the sixteen regions of Morocco. It is situated in central Morocco. It covers an area of 31,160 km².The region of Marrakesh-Tensift-Al Haouz (2.724.204 inhabitants of whom one third are urbains) consists of four provinces (Al Haouz, Chichaoua, Kelâat Es-Sraghna and Essaouira) and three prefectures (Marrakesh Menara, Marrakesh Medina and Sidi Youssef Ben Ali).Primary sector employs 53,8 % of the active population, tertiary sector 27,4 % and secondary sector 17,5 %. The capital is Marrakech.
