Cabar
Cabar , a town in the northern part of Gorski Kotar, in the valley of the Cabranka river; elevation 523 m. Economy is based on wood-processing. The town is located on the regional road: a border crossing between Croatia and Slovenia.

In 1651 Petar Zrinski built a blast furnace and the forging works, as well as an aristocratic citadel. In 1663 he founded a parish and erected the parish church of St. Anthony of Padua with a three-storey bell tower in Baroque style; the church is reached through a monumentally conceived staircase. In the church is the altarpiece by Valentin Metzinger (18th c.). The castle of the Pa-ravic family dates back to the 19th century, which has partly (outer walls) preserved the onetime defence elements of the Zrinski citadel.
